Katie Medved is a devised theatre artist, teacher, and stage actor living in Colorado. She earned her BA from Fordham University in New York City and her MFA from the University of Florida, chomp chomp.

An expert in physical acting she utilizes in Michael Chekhov, Lucid Body, Laban, yoga and Pilates to help create character and delve into the present moment.

A lover of nature, Katie uses the outdoors to inform her acting. When she is not on stage you can find her backpacking, climbing a 14er (1,400 feet mountains), or meditating.

She is a past member of both the Brooklyn-based experimental theatre company The Exquisite Corpse Company and immersive ensemble The Band of Toughs of Boulder, CO. She is a founding member of the Great Perhaps Performance Collective who’s work is multi-media combining visual art, dance, and theatre. They specialize in Absurdism and New Works.

She currently lives in a wood cabin with her husband and cat, Macbeth.
